Overview of SafeTenet privacy policy

SafeTenet is a strictly private online application. This policy was last updated on 5 January 2026.

SafeTenet is designed to protect users without collecting browsing content. This policy explains what SafeTenet does and does not collect when you use the SafeTenet desktop app and browser extensions.

What SafeTenet does not collect

  • No page content is sent to our servers, and browsing activity is not logged or retained.
  • No keystrokes, clipboard contents, or email bodies are sent to our servers.
  • No advertising IDs or cross-site identifiers are created by SafeTenet.
  • The SafeTenet browser extension does not collect or transmit personal information, browsing history, or page content.

What is processed locally (on your device)

  • Domain/host metadata (e.g., whether a domain is newly-registered – NRD – or on an allow/block list) to determine protection actions.
  • Aggregate counts such as “blocked today” are stored locally in your browser’s extension storage.
  • Log files on your device may record app events for troubleshooting; you can delete them at any time.

Optional telemetry (off by default)

Future SafeTenet versions may include opt-in telemetry to improve protection quality. If enabled, telemetry will be minimal and de-identified, and will never include page content or full URLs. You can turn telemetry off at any time.

Cookies & website analytics

The SafeTenet website uses only strictly necessary cookies. SafeTenet does not use third‑party analytics by default. If SafeTenet later enables analytics, we will use privacy‑respecting measurement and update this policy.

Children’s privacy

SafeTenet is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided SafeTenet with personal data, please make contact and that personal data will be expunged permanently.

Data retention

Local logs and counters remain on your device until you delete the app/extension or clear them. SafeTenet keeps support emails and billing records (for purchases/donations) as required by law.

Security

SafeTenet uses industry-standard safeguards to protect any support or billing data we hold. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal informationSafeTenet holds about you (e.g., support records). Please make contact and your any request will be complied with to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Changes

SafeTenet may update this policy as SafeTenet evolves. SafeTenet will post updates on this page and revise the “Last updated” date appearing at the top of this page.

AI use notice

SafeTenet permits fair citation or summarization of publicly available text from this website for legitimate indexing or informational purposes by search engines and AI systems.
